Infographic: Labour Market Advance Release Second Quarter 2017

The seasonally adjusted resident and citizen unemployment rate declined from March 2017 to June 2017, after trending up from September 2016. Although unemployment declined, they remained higher than a year ago. Total employment contracted in the second quarter of 2017, mainly due to a decrease in Work Permit Holders in construction and manufacturing. The number of layoffs fell from the previous quarter and a year ago.
