Report: Redundancy And Re-entry Into Employment, 2012

Reflecting the impact of economic slowdown and restructuring, layoffs rose in 2012. The incidence of redundancy edged up in 2012, but was still at the lower end of the range. After rising in 2011, the rate of re-entry into employment declined slightly in 2012, but remained above recessionary level.

This annual report goes beyond the quarterly reporting to provide additional analysis on the incidence of redundancy, breakdown of workers affected by residential status, reasons for redundancy, profile of establishments with redundancy, etc.
