Report: Labour Force in Singapore 2015

This publication presents a comprehensive range of statistical information on the economic activities of the population, including detailed analysis and data on employment and unemployment as well as characteristics of persons in and outside the labour force. It also examines a wide range of topics including income, training, term contract employment, hours worked and modes of job search.

Key findings: Employment rate rose further from June 2014 to June 2015, helped by the strong employment gains in the second half of 2014. Median income grew strongly over the year amid tight labour market, and there was a sustained increase in income at the median and 20th percentile over the last five years. Unemployment stayed low in June 2015, though it rose over the year for older residents aged 50 & over and non-degree holders as employment growth slowed in the first half of 2015.
