Infographic: Migrant Worker Experience and Employer Survey 2024
Released on:21/8/2025 10:30 AM

Migrant workers’ satisfaction with both their working and living conditions continued to improve. The 2024 migrant worker survey showed that 95.3% of migrant workers were satisfied with working and living in Singapore, the highest level recorded since the survey was first conducted in 2011. 96.7% intended to continue working here or return in future, reflecting continued confidence in Singapore as a preferred destinated for work. Trust in MOM’s regulatory role remained high, with 92.3% willing to recommend Singapore as a place to work and 97% agreeing that MOM provides effective protection and safe conditions.

From the employers’ perspective, sentiments toward the migrant workforce are generally positive. 70.8% of employers expressed satisfaction with their workers' quality, and 75.2% had renewed the work permits of more than 80% of their workers on average. Efforts to improve workforce quality were common, with 80.6% providing training beyond mandatory requirements to upskill their workers and 88.8% who would offer benefits to retain workers. However, access to skilled labour can be enhanced as only 27.3% found it easy to recruit workers with relevant skills, suggesting room for improvement to enable employers to hire higher-skilled workers, particularly in more specialised roles.
