Source and Coverage

Data on training participation rate, training intensity and workers’ perception of the training outcomes are compiled from the annual Labour Force Survey Supplement on Training. The survey covers a sample of the residents in the labour force aged 15 to 64 (excluding full-time National Servicemen) randomly selected from the Comprehensive Labour Force Survey.

Information on training provided by employers, the cost incurred and employers’ perception of the training outcomes are compiled from the Survey on Employer Supported Training. The survey covers private sector establishments with at least 25 employees.

Statistics on graduates from the institutions of higher learning in Singapore and persons who completed or participated in vocational or professional skills training are collected from universities, polytechnics and training institutions in Singapore.
