Released on: 10/4/2026 10:30 AM
End Monthly Unemployment Situation – February 2026

For release: 10 April 2026

Unemployment rates remained relatively stable in February 2026 (overall: 2.0%; resident: 2.8%; citizen: 2.9%), and continued to stay within the non-recessionary range. There were 68,300 unemployed residents1 in February 2026, of whom 59,600 were citizens.2,3

While unemployment rates remain stable at present, the ongoing Middle East conflict poses potential downside risks, with possible spillover effects on the labour market which could place upward pressure on unemployment in the quarters ahead.
