APAC Data Innovation Summit 2026
We were thrilled to be an innovation partner at the APAC Data Innovation Summit 2026, which brought together 500 industry leaders and practitioners from across the Asia-Pacific region for a day of insightful conversations on data and AI.
Now in its fifth edition, the summit was themed ‘AI at Scale: Preparing for the Thousand-Agents Future’, reflecting a pivotal moment in AI transformation where AI and agents are becoming seamlessly integrated within all business functions across industries and sectors.
Over 40 speakers shared from their experiences and expertise, sparking rich discussions on AI and data strategy, opportunities, risks and governance. We were proud to have Deputy Director Daniel Sim Tze Wei and Statistical Specialist Jeryl Ong represent MOM’s Manpower Research and Statistics Department (MRSD).

Our sharing focused on the structural shift taking place in MRSD’s national survey data collection. By leveraging multi-modal data sources and adaptive routing, manpower surveys are streamlined to minimise survey fatigue whilst improving operational efficiency. At the same time, the concept of AI agents automating validation and augmenting analysis was shared.
Mr Jeryl Ong, Statistical Specialist at MOM MRSD, sharing how leveraging data and AI transforms data collection processes.
Some notable highlights include: humans and AI being the twin engines driving AI transformation. On one hand, AI serves as a powerful productivity tool, enabling innovative and scalable solutions. On the other, human expertise and agency remains a core tenet, with officers playing critical roles as decision-makers and stewards of AI systems and outputs. Key areas like robust risk assessments, strong AI and data governance, and regular audits are also essential to ensuring fairness, transparency and explainability of the AI product. At the core of MRSD’s collection, analysis and dissemination of labour market statistics, human-centricity continues to underpin how our insights are produced, validated and communicated.
The summit demonstrated our region’s spirit of innovation and collaboration, showcasing the importance of knowledge-sharing to drive progress in the data and AI domains. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organisers, fellow speakers and attendees of APAC Data Innovation Summit 2026 for the meaningful exchange of ideas and insights.
