MRSD Booth: Developing a Future of Automation

In line with the theme “Co-Creating Tomorrow”, MRSD officers helmed the department booth, aiming to provide attendees with a stronger understanding of both the laborious processes that data collection and management mandates, as well as how AI optimisation has significantly supported these workflows. By improving the efficiency of the department’s data processes, MRSD aims to accelerate insight discovery and better anticipate emerging workforce trends, supporting MOM’s ability to respond to workforce trends and behaviours with greater agility.

MOMers in AI Action: Creating AI Tools of Tomorrow

During the ‘MOMers in AI Action’ segment, Statistical Specialist Jeryl Ong also gave an incisive sharing about how MRSD has applied AI to strengthen data methodologies and, in turn, enable informed evidence-based decisions across MOM. The AI tools discussed included the Survey Optimiser, which simulates how different respondent groups interpret survey questions to enhance the clarity of questionnaire development and reinforce the reliability of workforce data and insights. The Labour Market Intelligence Chat was also presented, an AI product that allows MOM officers to receive digestible summaries, visualisations, or information about relevant data from MRSD.

The department looks forward to and is actively reimagining how the future of national statistics can look like with the capabilities of AI.
