Concepts and Definitions

Statistics on Jobseekers Assisted through all physical and digital touchpoints of Workforce Singapore (WSG) and National Trades Union Congress (NTUC)’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), as well as Jobseekers Placed in Employment by these touchpoints, are compiled by WSG. WSG is a statutory board under the Ministry of Manpower. It works with individuals, businesses and partners to minimise mismatches and maximise matching between jobs and skills, workers and businesses. ​

Jobseekers Assisted refers to the number of people who received basic career advisory and/or registered for personalised career matching services through all physical and digital touchpoints of Workforce Singapore (WSG) and National Trades Union Congress (NTUC)’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i). ​​

Jobseekers Placed in Employment refers to the number of unique individuals who were placed into employment through all physical and digital touchpoints of Workforce Singapore (WSG) and National Trades Union Congress (NTUC)’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i). This includes those who found their own jobs after receiving services from WSG and NTUC's e2i.
